Got 1 on my Chinese test. For those not initiated into the English grading system you can receive;

First class 1st
Upper second class 2:1
Lower second class 2:2
Third class 3rd
Ordinary Pass

All official essays, exams, papers and hand-ins are marked by this system.

I'm just happy if I receive a 2 something for my two essays that I have to hand in by late November, one on International politics and one on Chinese history.

Oh well, as they do say, first year doesn't count anyway.
